Follow projects, people and items

Follow public projects, people and items in Public, and see who follows you.

Following keeps public things you care about in one place. It works on every plan, with no limit on how many you follow.

Before you start #

Be signed in. Following happens in Public and needs a connection. Only public projects, people and items can be followed.

Follow a project #

  • In Public, click the star (☆) on a project's row. A filled star (★) means you follow it.
  • Several at once: tick the projects and press Follow. Unfollow works the same way, with Undo.
  • Following lists only the projects you follow; All public lists every public project. Your own projects are not in Following.

Follow a person #

Open a person's card or public page (for example from search) and press Follow (the star button). You then follow every public project of that person, also the ones they add later. Their projects show as "Followed through" that person; to stop, unfollow the person on their page. Projects you followed with their own star stay followed.

Follow an item #

Open a public item and press Follow (the star button). The item is listed in My account > Followed items, with its newest public versions and new photos.

Sync and the star #

The sync switch Follow right away is on by default. With it off, the star changes at once on your device and the follow is sent when you press Sync.

Your followers #

My account > Followers shows how many people follow you, your projects and your items. On Free you see the numbers; seeing who they are needs Premium.

Your name in follower lists #

Show me in public follower lists (in My account > Followed items) controls whether your name appears when someone looks at an item's followers. Off: you still count as a follower, but your name is not listed. Owners with Premium still see who follows their items.
