Your profile and public card

Edit your name, @handle, photo and the other values on your public card, choose what is shown, and change your email.

Your public card is what people see when they open you from search, your projects or something you published. You decide which values are on it.

Before you start #

Be signed in and online. Open the "User info" menu > "My account" > "Account overview".

Edit your card #

  1. "Display name" is required. It is shown wherever you have no handle.
  2. "Handle" is optional. It is shown as @handle wherever you appear; clear it to show your name instead.
  3. Photo: "Upload photo" or "Change photo". A removed photo stays in your "All pictures" until you delete it there.
  4. Your location and the other values (for example website or social media handles).
  5. For each value choose "Shown" or "Hidden" on your public card (the switches "Show … on my public card"). Your name is always shown.
  6. Press "Save".

"See my public card" (or "View public page" in "Privacy & visibility", or "My public page" in the User info menu) shows your card as others see it.

Your address #

Your address is only for you: it is never on your public card ("Only you see your address").

Publishing #

"Show my name on public items I publish" (under "Publishing") decides whether your name is shown next to an organisation's name on items you publish for a family or company. It is one setting for all organisations.

Change email #

  1. In "Account overview", press "Change email".
  2. Type the "New email address" and your "Current password", then press "Send link".
  3. Open the link in the email sent to the new address.

Until you open the link, you keep signing in with the old address; the card shows "Confirmation sent to …, pending". You can cancel a pending change. Old addresses stay reserved to you so nobody else can register them; "Archive or delete" > "Forget old email addresses" releases them.
