BreedMap has a Free plan and paid plans. The plans are not final: names, contents and prices may still change before launch.
Where to see your plan #
Open the "User info" menu (your picture) and press "Licence". It shows your plan, when it renews, and what changes if a licence ends. If you run a family or a company, the same entry is called "Licence admin".
"My account" > "Account overview" shows the plan too ("Plan: Free" or "Plan: Premium"). The "Compare plans" button there is marked "Coming later".
The plans #
- Free: the Tree view, ready-made labels, following, 10 messages a day to people who are not your friends or contacts, 10 help assistant questions a day, and the Free limits. A Free account never expires and costs nothing. See Free limits.
- Premium (a Single User licence, one person): everything that needs a paid plan, no item or tree limits, and linking devices. You can add limited kid seats to it ("Add kid seats to my Single User licence"): up to 6 at the kid price, more at the adult price, at most 12 seats in total.
- Family (hobby use only): 2 adults with Premium and 2 kids. Extra members, also extra kids, cost extra; the Licence page shows the prices. See Family workspace and seats.
- Professional (for companies): Single User, Multi User and Token pool licences. A company seat also gives Premium in the person's own personal workspace while it is assigned. See Company licences and tokens.

Needs a paid plan #
- The Flat and Constellation family tree layouts (on Free they show a read-only sample tree, "Demo of a Premium view").
- Designing and saving your own label templates.
- Seeing who follows you or your items.
- A daily digest of notices.
- Tuning the torch ("Nodes lit") or switching it off.
- Linking devices (Home Assistant, sensors).
Offline #
A paid plan keeps working offline until the end time you were last granted. A Free account stays Free offline.
Payments and prices #
Paid plans will be sold through a third-party reseller (a "Merchant of Record") once they are available. During the beta, plan switches and price lists in the app are previews, not offers, and no payment is taken. The Licence page says "No payment is taken here: prices and the payment provider arrive at launch."
From the draft Terms: monthly licences renew until cancelled and are non-refundable; fixed-term licences are non-refundable apart from a possible goodwill refund of unused whole months; Tokens are non-refundable and expire 365 days after purchase. Refund requests go to [email protected].
Prices are shown on the Licence page when they exist. Discounts and exceptions (for example for students): contact support. There is no free Premium.
