The top of the screen #
The sections "Front page", "Public", "Private" and "Contact us" are at the top. On a phone they are inside "Menu". Next to them are:
- the Sync button with its "Sync options" menu (the small ▾),
- the "User info" menu (your picture),
- the "Settings" menu (the gear icon).
User info menu (your picture) #
It shows your name and account type (Personal account, Family account, Family member, Kid account or Company account), then:
- "Switch account ›": your saved logins on this device (shown when you have saved logins).
- "My account" (security, privacy).
- The licence row: "Licence" (my plan) on a personal account, "Licence admin" for family and company admins, "Family" for a family member, "Family account" for a kid.
- "Care agenda" (due and upcoming).
- "Help assistant" (ask about BreedMap). Signed-in people only.
- "Messages" (shows how many are unread; not on kid accounts).
- "My public page".
- "Sign out", and "Sign out of all accounts" when several logins are saved.
- "Sign in / Register" when you are signed out.
- "Delete local data" (this device). See Sign out, delete local data, delete account.
The workspace chip #
The chip in the header names the workspace you are in. Press it (or go to "My account" > "Account overview" > Workspace > "Switch") to open "Workspaces": your workspaces to switch to, "Family members and seats" or "Company members and licences" for the workspace you are in, "Family" (create a family, join one or add kid seats), "Invitations", "Create or join a company" and "Account settings".
Settings menu (gear icon) #
"Templates & fields" (cards, fields, lists and labels), "Theme", "Default view" (Tiles or Rows), the "Automatic sync" switch, the "Taxonomy search" switch, "All settings…" (layout, and the button "Account, pending changes, about…" which opens the Settings page), "Color settings", "Create a company" and "Credits".
My account page #
"User info" menu > "My account", in sections:
- "Account overview": your public card (name, @handle, photo and the values you choose to show), your plan, and the workspace with "Switch".
- "Login & security": Security (password, authenticator app, passkeys, signed-in devices).
- "Groups & permissions".
- "Privacy & visibility": "View public page", Followers, Followed items, "Show me in public follower lists".
- "Purge policies", "Notifications", "Messages" (who can write to you, what a push shows), "Language & region".
- "Connected apps" (devices).
- "Data & storage": limits, "Export my data", "Import", "Lock after leaving the app", "Recovery key".
- "Archive or delete": "Archive account" (coming later), "Forget old email addresses", "Delete account", and the Sign out section (this device, other devices, all devices).
Rows marked "Coming later" are not available yet.
Settings page #
Templates & fields, Theme and Colors, how item details open ("Pop-up" or "Side panel", wide screens only), the tree toggle, search history, your account, "Download everything again", "Pending" (the changes waiting to be sent), "About" (version; "Show help button"; on Android "Check for updates") and "Credits".
Item menu and help cards #
Right-click an item (on a phone, long-press it or use its menu button) for "Open item", "Show in list", "Show in constellation", "Show in family tree view", "Highlight in family tree view", "Export…" and more. A project's menu in the tree on the left has "Export project…".
Hover over a control for a short tooltip. "How it works ⓘ" or the ? key opens a longer help card.
