📜History | The Norwich and Norfolk Terrier take their names from the county and city. In the early to mid-1800s, there was no distinction between them, as they were general farm dogs. Breeds contributing to these East Anglian terriers include Glen of Imaal, red Cairn Terriers, and Dandie Dinmonts. The Norwich Terrier was accepted on the Kennel Club Breed Register in 1932. The breeds were separated in 1964. |
